About Julia

I build the narrative infrastructure that turns frontier technology into trusted reality.

I am at my best when a company is at a critical inflection point: when the technology is world-changing, but the category hasn't been won yet. Whether it's navigating high-stakes complexity at Uber, reimagining Google's cultural footprint through Zeitgeist, or building the creator engine at YouTube, I excel at translating technical breakthroughs into stories that define industries.

I am almost always my first hire. To scale a narrative, it works best if you're the first one to write it. I thrive in the engine room stage, personally crafting the strategy and core messaging to prove a concept, then building the world-class teams and systems required to scale it globally.

Starting my career at NBC News taught me how to find the soul of a story and maintain total composure in high-pressure environments. I bring that production rigor to the tech frontier, positioning technical leaders as industry voices and turning complex innovation into essential reality.

Outside of work, I'm a mother to teenage triplets (yep, three, all at once). I live in the Bay Area with my husband, Dan, who owns Spangler's Market, a boutique neighborhood grocer in Half Moon Bay and San Francisco's West Portal.
